Database Administrator

Position Title: Database Administrator

The incumbent will be an expert in either Oracle or MS-SQL with a working knowledge of the other.

Maximisation of value delivered to business by relevant database application.

Scoping and designing a solution based on industry standards that is appropriate to customer requirements, project timeframes and project budget.

Ability to work with customers on a level that they understand.

Support to a business-critical user-base, that is regionally dispersed.

Knowledge & Experience Required:

Essential:

Specialist-level knowledge of relevant database as may be developed in at least 7 years progressive professional experience.
Demonstrated delivery of Database Development projects and enhancement.
Ability to clearly articulate design ideas to different audiences.

Desired:
Tertiary level qualifications in an information technology field.
