System Administrator

Position Title: Systems Administrator
Locations: Australia, Malaysia

The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing the day to day operational support of approximately 300 servers.

Systems Administrators are responsible for the day to day implementation and management of Servers, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wide Area Networks and other supporting infrastructure.





Knowledge & Experience Required:

Essential:
Appropriate tertiary certification or qualifications in technology or Systems Administration

The position requires knowledge of server, network security, and information technology industry standards. Minimum of 3-4 years Systems Administration experience in a small to medium enterprise Experience gained on the front line such as a helpdesk will be highly regarded as well as extensive customer facing experience.

The position requires experience and proven ability to work independently, remotely and as part of physical and virtual teams as required by projects. The systems administrator must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with changing priorities in a dynamic environment, working under pressure and as a team.

This position requires in depth knowledge of the relevant platform and related technologies across server and network architectures.

Backup methodology (CommVault highly regarded)
Antivirus methodology (Network Associated highly regarded)
TCP/IP Networking
Desirable:
Windows Server MSCE
Microsoft IIS
Microsoft SCCM / SCOM
Office SharePoint Server
Office Communications Server

McAfee ePO and Antivirus
Sun Solaris 7-10
Network Appliances SAN’s
Cisco Routing
Cisco Switching
Cisco Firewall / ASA
